Rasa, an Indian arts concept evoking emotions or feelings in an individual through the use of visual, literary or musical work. An artist (writer, performer etc.) crafts “Rasa” or emotional flavours into their work, and that work being appreciated by someone who has the heart to appreciate it, and connect with it.

“Rasa” theory is a part of an ancient Sanskrit Text “Natyashastra”, and according to it entertainment is a desired effect of performance arts but not the primary goal. The primary goal is to make the audience experience a parallel reality full of wonder and bliss, enabling them to reflect on spiritual and moral questions.
